New year, new look

Same old haircut though!

New year, new look. Well, it was probably about time. Not sure I like it though. I know the white on black font was never very popular but I liked it, which is why I kept it for so long. But, well, bwb is getting on a bit now; at least, its protagonist is. Can you believe he's two? Post to follow....

But for now, let me know whether you like the look. Or indeed like the blog. Bwb has had a bit of a hiatus of late, and to be honest, with the exception of Sophie I hadn't thought anyone had noticed. Or cared. But then one loyal friend did email me with a request. That said, she's not loyal enough to comment! Talking of comments, please do. I love them. Honestly. And I'll comment back and everything. I promise.

But back to the new look. Blogger promised it would be so easy, but I feel let down by the result. And I'd really like a swanky header. No clue how to do one though. Heavens, I can't even upload a twitterpic. But seriously. Do let me know what you think. Please?

No, I can't believe he's two! How could I have missed that? Happy birthday, L.

I like the new look. It's a bit easier on my already color-blind eyes. I'm sure you can find ways to snazz it up to your liking. After all, if blogger says it's easy, isn't it? Hoping to see you all soon...

Nice. Really fresh and lively. I like the colour and the layout. It's more spacious to look at than before, which is restful on the eyes.

Have a look at people's headers, and if there are any you really like, email them and ask them how they did them. Some people get a blog designer to do the business, but it's not very expensive (I heard 25 pounds as a figure - don't know if that's typical).

As your strap line (is that the term?) is "Living with Louis in London", do you think your new header should have a London theme? Or at least a nod in the direction of London?

@CC - glad it's saving your eyes.... and please come and visit!

@iota - thank you. do you mean i should rename the blog then? i do wonder, but i'm emotionally attached to bwb....

I like it! Although I'm playing around with the new blogger templates and not finding them that easy to use either!

As for the header, I asked Tara at Sticky Fingers who put me in contact with someone who did the Brits In Bosnia header for £25 (also I think Not SuperMums blog too). I'm thinking of splashing out again for the new blog.

@Solveig - I'll take fresh and crips. Thanks! Although both Louis' dad and his grandma are wistful for the white on black. As am I....

@PantsWithNames - It's good to know people pay for the good headers. I thought I was missing a simple trick by not managing to rustle one up myself....

I believe I might be "that friend" so here I am leaving my first ever comment on bwb! And maybe there are lots of others like me who read it avidly but have always lost their passwords whenever they think about commenting and then just get sidetracked by other things when looking for it. I just created a new account in the end. I'll probably now forget that password too! But I like the new look - very fresh. But I liked the old look too. Just so long as there are lots of photos and videos to go with the entries then that's cool!
